Integrated Sensors: Polypyrrole Microactuators

Our objective is to develop critical and enabling technologies for integrated sensor modules. Some of the unique capabilities we have developed include fabrication of fluidic/photonic integrated circuits for sensing in aqueous environment, sensors with integrated optical processors, and seamless conversion of sensor signals into RF signals for sensor communication. We envision that in the coming future, many different versions of integrated sensors, likely incorporating some of the technologies we developed, will be deployed widely in our living environments to enhance the convenience, safety, and enjoyment of our daily life.
